Continuity and Recovery

The occurrence of an emergency situation will affect the activities of your organisation. As well as planning its response to a given threat, an organisation must plan for the continuation of its critical operations, in order to limit the negative impact of such an event. In addition to the general strategies for continuity and recovery developed in the Preparedness dimension, specific strategies for continuity and recovery can be developed in cases of:

- Pandemic
- Loss of access to facilities
- Loss of critical and/or support services
- Loss of access to information
- Reduce staffing
- Loss of access to technologies/systems
- Etc.

Planning for the continuity of operations and the recovery of your organisation will allow you to:

  • Limit the impact of a given situation on your activities
  • Limit your financial losses
  • Resume normal operations rapidly
  • Prepare a series of specific measures designed to re-establish, in order of priority, the functions of your organisation
